Radiology Director

This position reports to the Administrative Director of Radiology.
They are looking for someone who has strong management experience in hospital radiology.
The job oversees approximately 100 FTEs including 3 Supervisors and 4 Lead Techs.
You will be overseeing the main hospital radiology department as well as one satellite/outpatient center which has their women's center, oncology services, open MRI, CT is being added this year, x-ray, ultrasound, dexa, and mammography.
They are looking for someone to bring in fresh ideas.
Someone who is able to take a project from A to Z-conceptualize a project from the beginning to the end, plan the steps, order the steps appropriately, meet the needs and demands, and keep on budget.
They need a visionary person, someone to think outside the box.
They also need someone who works well with the Physicians.
For them physician satisfaction, associate satisfaction and patient satisfaction are key.
The Administrative Director is willing to provide some mentorship to the right candidate as well.
They strongly prefer someone with Director level experience but will consider someone with Radiology Manager experience if they can show they understand the difference between a Manager and a Director and can do project management.

Functioning within the Hospitals mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Director of Radiology and Imaging provides direction for the department and team members and oversees the delivery of quality patient care.
Performs administrative duties of supervision within the department, and is responsible for directing departmental activities of professional and non-professional staff and is a liaison for the Medical Director of Radiology.
Develops, interprets and applies departmental policies, budgets, and long range plans.
Develops and implements a marketing strategy and develops professional relationships with physicians.
Oversees capital purchases and projects.
This job is measured with age specific criteria.
Qualifications:
1.
Minimum BA or BS with focus on management required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Must be a graduate of the AMA accredited Radiography Technology program.
2.
Certified by American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by the state of Ohio.
3.
At least 5 years' experience with appropriate broad experience within the department to be familiar with all aspects of departmental policy and administration procedures.
4.
Competency in professional practice and management skills as appropriate.
5.
Leadership qualities and human relations skills necessary to work with patients, staff and physicians.
